Special Meeting Notification

This is a formal notification of a special election for the Office of Vice President for the Osceola Radio Control Flyers. The current Vice President of the club, Valentine Colon, has moved from the area and has resigned his position as VP of the Club. This election will be held on Saturday, October 8th 2005 at 9:30 AM. This meeting will take place at the Osceola Flyers flying field. Nominations for this position can be made up to and on the day of the special election. If you are interested in nominating someone for this office, call or e-mail me the nomination so that I may notify the rest of the club membership.

Absentee Votes will be accepted per the club byLaws. Please e-mail Josh Flythe jflythe@mbi192.com, if you would like an absentee ballot.

This is a formal notification of a special vote to amend the
club bylaws. This vote will take place on Saturday, October 8th 2005 at 9:30 AM. This meeting will take place at the Osceola Flyers flying field. The proposed changes to the bylaws are as follows.

Article 1
Section 2
When member of the board of directors of this corporation are unable to serve out their term of office, the vacancy shall be filled at a special election. Notice of said election to be mailed two (2) weeks prior to the election.

New officers will be elected by a majority vote to serve out the remainder of the current term. Two-thirds (2/3) of membership present at given meeting is a majority.

Has been proposed that we amend it to:

Article 1
Section 2
When member of the board of directors of this corporation are unable to serve out their term of office, the vacancy shall be filled at a special election. Notice of said election to be mailed two (2) weeks prior to the election.

Officers, who in the Majority Opinion of the Board, fail to carry out their duties, may be removed from office. A notice of removal shall be mailed to the Officer concerned two weeks prior to a meeting of the general club membership; where the board will make a formal proposal for the officer's removal. At such a meeting, the Officer in question will have the right to appeal the decision. Notice of said special meeting shall be mailed to members, two weeks prior to the meeting date.
